This is a single-estate microlot grown at Finagro Estate in the Karatu district of Tanzania. It originated from a collaboration between the Vohora family and local growers. Processing for the Finagro Estate lots involves a brief cherry fermentation lasting 24 hours after picking, after which the coffee is depulped, fermented for 36-72 hours, shade dried for 3 days, and finished by drying in full sun for another week.

For years, the Vohoras have cultivated strong relationships with growers in East Africa. And the opportunity to acquire and cultivate well-known genetics from different regions was too good to pass up. That's why they decided to grow a small batch of Ethiopia Landrace seeds at Finagro Estate. This served both as an experimental project for colleagues in East Africa and as an effort to create a distinct strain unique to Tanzania's traditional cultivars.

The result is a fruit-forward washed profile with ample stone fruit, berries and kiwi, with a soft, clean florality - not unlike many of our favorite washed Ethiopias.

We recommend a pour-over method such as Chemex, V60 or Kalita Wave to fully enjoy the complexity and aromas this coffee has to offer.
