About the Producer & Farm
Located in the famous Boquete region of Panama, Hacienda La Esmeralda is world-renowned for revolutionizing the specialty coffee industry when they introduced the aromatic Geisha variety at the 2004 Best of Panama auction. Building on decades of excellence, Esmeralda achieved an unprecedented 'Triple Crown' at the 2025 Best of Panama competition, taking 1st place across all categories (Geisha Washed, Natural, and Varietals).
Jaramillo Farm is the historic birthplace of this legendary bean. The extreme 40-degree slopes and unique high-altitude microclimate require all harvesting to be done strictly by hand, yielding some of the highest-scoring and most sought-after coffee microlots in the world.
